Switchboard Inspections & Upgrades
Does your switchboard meet current safety standards? Are you protected?
Did you know that in June of 2018, the AS/NZS3000 wiring rules were updated as a means of improving safety. The new wiring rules require ALL final sub-circuits 32amp or below are to be 30mA RCD protected. This includes not only power and lighting circuits but also fixed electrical equipment like cooktops, hot water systems and air conditioning units. Speak to us today to arrange an inspection to upgrade.

Generator Crossover Switches
Stay connected with our generator crossover switches. With our ever changing weather events here in SEQ you never know when we might experience a power outage. We are helping to make sure these events don't interrupt your power by installing this product.
We have various options to best suit your budget and needs in both single and 3 phase, starting from just 900+GST.
Every generator crossover switch that we install also includes a complimentary switchboard inspection.
We can supply any size generator and lead to suit your installation.

15amp Single Phase GENCO: $900+GST
This setup is to run the small to medium generators for the essentials. We can install this set up on a 3 phase board, we just rewire the board so all the essential circuits are on the same phase as the generator. Additional $150+GST
Option 2
32amp Single Phase GENCO: $1150+GST
This setup is for medium to larger generators to run the majority of the home. We can install this set up on a 3 phase board, we just rewire the board so all the essential circuits are on the same phase as the generator. Additional $150+GST

32amp 3 Phase GENCO: $1700+GST
This setup is for medium to larger generators to run the majority of the home.
SMOKE ALARMS
Requirements for Smoke Alarm Installation Recently, smoke alarm legislation has become the strictest Queensland has ever seen, this is due to an increased yearly count of house fires and loss of life. Without these safety devices installed in homes occupants are at risk. Without these laws, more and more homes will be lost and sometimes tragically lives are lost also. These new laws will make our homes safer. Ultimately, they will save lives by alerting those in the dwelling that there is smoke in the house somewhere.

These new laws state that from 1st of January 2022, all dwellings being sold, leased or an existing lease is renewed you must comply with the following: Smoke alarms in the dwelling must:
i) be photoelectric (AS 3786-2014); and
ii) not also contain an ionisation sensor; and
iii) be less than 10 years old; and
iv) operate when tested; and
v) be interconnected with every other smoke alarm in the dwelling so all activate together.
Smoke alarms must be installed on each storey:
i) in each bedroom; and
ii) in hallways which connect bedrooms and the rest of the dwelling; or
iii) if there is no hallway, between the bedrooms and other parts of the storey; and
iv) if there are no bedrooms on a storey at least one smoke alarm must be installed in the most likely path of travel to exit the dwelling.
Smoke alarms must be hardwired or powered by a non-removable 10-year battery!

SMOKE ALARM SAFETY INSPECTION
This includes:
• Call out to your property.
• Checking the location of smoke alarms throughout home.
• Checking the expiry date of smoke alarms.
• Replacement batteries of smoke alarms if required (additional $10+GST)
• Report of safety inspection.
• Quote for any upgrades required to meet new legislation. $120+GST
INSTALLATION OF NEW SMOKE ALARM This includes:
• Photoelectric Smoke Alarm.
• Interconnected with every other smoke alarm.
• Be hardwired to mains power supply with 9v battery backup or powered by a 10 year lithium battery.
• Wireless interconnected base if required.
• Labour and all materials required for the installation.
